Cleveland Wedding Photography for Sally and Scott

Even though it was a sweltering Saturday, it was the perfect day for Cleveland wedding photography on June 30, 2018, when Sally Florkiewicz and Scott Gallik tied the knot.

Sally and Scott are a wonderful couple and a photographer’s dream! Everyone was laughing and having fun throughout the day. Yes, the heat had everyone dragging, but the entire wedding party was willing, able, and truly happy to be there — every photo expressed their personalities and showed the love that was in the air.

Our Cleveland wedding photography adventure started at Sally’s parents’ house in Chagrin Falls. Sally’s mom, also named Sally (how cool!), has her century home wonderfully decorated with unique antiques, making the picture-taking experience that much more special.

Speaking of antiques, Sally’s mom found this vintage poster, which was perfect for her daughter’s wedding!

Scott and his groomsmen got ready at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. Scott is from the Lone Star State, so many of his groomsmen flew in from Texas to share this special day with Scott and Sally. It was a lot of fun hanging out with those Texans!

Cleveland Wedding Photography at the Ceremony and Reception

The ceremony was held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and it was very lovely.

There was a very memorable moment right after the ceremony — one I’ll surely never forget! When Sally and Scott first got engaged, Scott joked with Sally’s parents that he should get a dowry. So … they arranged to have a goat at the church with a sign around its neck!

It was a gorgeous day, but as mentioned, it was hot — well over 90 degrees! We began with fun bridal photos on the boardwalk beneath the Chagrin Falls, but the weather proved a formidable foe and everyone just wanted to head to the reception, which was at Chagrin Valley Country Club.

Sally wanted to make sure we got great photos on the beautiful golf course at the club, which of course we did!
